After retiring, I decided to invest in a property. Shayona Icon looked promising. The project is in Ghatlodiya, North West Ahmedabad, an area I am familiar with. They offer 1 BHK and 2 BHK apartments. I am interested in the 1 BHK, which has a plot area of 900 Sq.yd. The building is an exclusive 7-story tower, which avoids the feeling of being in a mega-complex. Features like 24x7 water supply and closed car parking are essential for comfort, and they have these. The construction is ongoing, with completion slated for August 2024. I did notice quite a bit of construction activity and noise when I visited, which is expected at this stage, but something to consider if you are sensitive to that.

The location is developing, and while the R C Technical Road address is good, sometimes the construction vehicles can make access a bit inconvenient and dusty. However, the developer, Shayona Group, seems committed to quality.

The plot area for the 2 BHKs is 1260 Sq.yd., and the total area for plots ranges from 100 Sq.yd. To 140 Sq.yd., which sounds decent. They have a children's play area, which will be great for our kids. The construction is expected to finish by August 2024. The project features high-speed automatic elevatoand 24x7 water supply, which are essential. My only reservation is the price point, which we felt was a little higher than expected, but the amenities and location are good selling points for Shayona Icon.

Construction is still underway, expected completion is August 2024. I liked the idea of a sustainable solar energy system and the earthquake-resistant RCC structure, makes me feel safer. Entrance gate security cabin and 24x7 CCTV surveillance are also good additions. The only minor thing is that the road leading to the project can get a bit dusty during construction, but that's normal.
