I was looking for a property in Kolkata mainly for investment purposes. Ekta Oleander in Tangra seemed like a decent option. The prices range from 1.53 Crore to 1.97 Crore, which is quite steep for the area, but the built-up areas for the 4 BHK flats, around 1918 to 1928 sq.ft, are quite spacious. The location is a bit tricky to access daily, being on Seal Lane. I am still evaluating the long-term appreciation potential. The developer, Ekta World, has a track record, but I need to see the completion certificate and OC status before making a final decision. The proximity to Sealdah Railway Station, nearby, is a definite plus for connectivity.

We bought a 3 BHK in Ekta Oleander because we liked the modern amenities. The swimming pool and gymnasium are great for unwinding after work. The security features like video door security and intercom are also reassuring. We got a flat around 1700 sq.ft, which is a good size for us. The price point was a bit higher than we initially planned, around 1.6 Crore, but we felt the quality and location were worth it. The accessibility to Sealdah Metro Station, also nearby, is fantastic for our commutes. The Vastu compliant design was a nice touch too. Ekta World seems to have put in good effort here.

The biggest drawback for me is the noise and dust from the surrounding area, which is typical for Tangra. While it has amenities like a swimming pool and gym, the road access could be better. The connection to EM Bypass is nearby, which is a bit far for regular travel. Overall, it's a decent project but comes with its own set of challenges related to the location.

Being ready to move is a huge advantage as I don't want them to wait. The location in Tangra is familiar to them, and the proximity to Sealdah Railway Station (1.34 KM) makes it easy for relatives to visit. I am a bit concerned about the maintenance charges, which were not clearly available, but the developer, Ekta World, assured good service. The sauna bath is a nice luxury amenity for my parents.

The children's play area here is also quite nice, and my kids spend a lot of time there. The apartment size is good, our 1494 sq.ft flat feels comfortable. The 24x7 security and water supply are reliable. The only slight issue is the traffic on Radhanath Chowdhury Road during peak hou, it can get quite congested. Apollo Hospital is also very close, which is reassuring. Overall, it's a convenient place for families.
