We decided to invest in a plot at Future City in Hyderabad for our retirement plans. The size options are quite varied, from 200 sq.yd. Up to 1600 sq.yd. We chose a mid-range plot. The project is developed by Samooha Projects Pvt Ltd and is in Yacharam. It's advertised as Ready to Move, which is a major plus as we don't want to wait. The amenities like the gymnasium and club house are attractive for a retired lifestyle. The surrounding 100-200 FT roads are impressive. My only concern is the dust from ongoing construction in the wider development area, which is quite extensive at 50,000 Acres.

However, the promise of South India's Biggest Sports Univeity nearby is a big draw for the kids' future. They also have 24x7 water supply planned.

I bought a 200 sq.yd. Plot, which was the most affordable option, starting from 16.0 Lakh. The project being Ready to Move is fantastic, meaning I can start construction soon. I liked that they have 24x7 security and CCTV surveillance, which is important for a single woman. The only drawback is the connectivity; it takes a while to reach the main city area from Yacharam, and the internal roads are still being fully developed.

We looked at plots around 300 sq.yd., aiming for a budget of around 30-40 Lakh. The project offeclub house and resort membehip, which sounds like a great way to relax after work. Having a gymnasium and party hall is also a good addition. The main concern is the actual travel time to our schools in the city, which seems quite long from Yacharam. We are hoping the infrastructure improvements planned by the developer will make commutes easier in the future.

The main thing for me was the proximity to major highways, making travel easier. I haven't visited recently but plan to soon.
