In a significant push to ease traffic on Ghodbunder Road, a notorious bottleneck for motorists traveling from Mumbai, Thane, and beyond toward Nashik, Gujarat, and Konkan, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has accelerated the development of alternative routes.
