Mumbai transport authorities have unveiled plans to build a 3 km underground pedestrian tunnel network connecting Metro Line 3 stations at BKC and Worli to major transport hubs, including the upcoming bullet train terminal, at an estimated cost of ₹250 crore.

Mumbai’s new Coastal Road tunnel connecting JK Kapur Chowk to Worli is now open. The 550m tunnel cuts travel time from Dadar and Prabhadevi to Nariman Point, easing traffic and improving coastal connectivity.

From tunnels under rivers to links across suburbs, the new BKC-Worli metro line is set to redefine Mumbai's daily commute.
