The participation of Non-resident Indians (NRIs) in India’s residential real estate market has seen a significant rise, now accounting for nearly a quarter of the total sales among large developers, up from just 7-10% prior to the pandemic.

Wealthy Indians are increasingly channeling their investments into real estate markets in the UAE and Europe, driven by the allure of high rental yields and enhanced lifestyle options.

Bharat Mart, India's first UAE warehouse, will open in 2025. Similar to China's Dragon Mart, this programme allows Indian exporters to promote their goods. According to plans, Bharat Mart would span 100,000 square metres and include warehouses, retail, and accommodation.
