In a recent meeting, the Maharashtra state cabinet approved a significant legal reform to accelerate the rebuilding of ageing cooperative society structures. This move allows eviction of minority residents who block majority-approved redevelopment plans.

The Bombay High Court heard a PIL asking the court to direct the Registrar of Cooperative Housing Societies to set rules for installing electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in co-op housing societies.  The court notified the parties and ordered a hearing on January 6, 2021.
