Tech Driven Stellar Value Chain to Expand its Logistics Footprint

Stellar Value Chain Solutions, a tech-driven third-party value-added warehouse and distribution service provider, intends to add more than 10 million square feet to its logistics portfolio within the next two years in response to the increasing demand for warehousing spaces in India.

In the coming couple of months, the organisation intends to raise up to INR 400 Cr in primary capital to finance the new portfolio expansion plan.

The company is proactively expanding our portfolio as demand has been strong, particularly in the automobile and consumption segments, such as fashion, retail, and home appliances. This expansion will be financed by a primary capital infusion of up to 400 crore, according to Anshuman Singh, CMD of Stellar Value Chain Solutions.

He added that the company is already in discussions with financial and strategic investors to acquire a stake in one of the country's largest tech-enabled 3PL warehouse and distribution solutions providers.

After over six years of investment, the company's strategic partner Warburg Pincus is also considering a partial or complete exit at an appropriate valuation.

Singh, the company's founder, will continue to develop its operations and fuel future expansion.

The current portfolio of the third-party logistics (3PL) company consists of over 16 million square feet distributed across 80 properties in 21 cities in India. It has added over 2 million square feet of space in the last month alone, primarily for the purpose of administering pan-India supply chain operations for a consumer durables behemoth.

Stellar Value Chain Solutions has added 1.5 million square feet of warehouse space through distribution centres in Bhiwandi, close to Mumbai, and Banur, Punjab. With this acquisition, the company has taken over the operations of the pan-India central distribution centre at these locations and two regional distribution centres of a key consumer durables manufacturer.

The company has issued a new request for quotations (RFQ) for 10 million square feet of total logistics space to be developed over the next two years either via the built-to-suit route or the ready-to-move option, depending on the need. The built-to-suit options are being investigated in Mumbai, Bangalore, Lucknow, Patna, and Guwahati, as well as a few other cities, while the ready-to-move options are being investigated in the 21 main cities in India where Stellar has already established a significant presence.

The company has released a new request for quotation (RFQ) of 10 million sq ft of total logistics space to be developed either through the built-to-suit route or the ready to move option as the need may be over the next two years. The built to suit facilities are being explored across Mumbai, Bangalore, Lucknow, Patna, Guwahati, and few other cities, while the ready-to-move options are being explored across the 21 major cities in the country where Stellar has already established a considerable presence.
