A studio apartment is a small unit which contains a bedroom, kitchen, and living space in a single room. The need to own a piece of real estate has brought this apartment plan to the limelight, particularly among the individual workers.

Studio residences are also known as a studio unit or Room Kitchen flat and are popular among the individual such as students and the 9-5 working professionals living away from their loved ones. Sometimes, even couples looking for an affordable place to live in temporarily, might opt for studio unit. Usually, owners lease out studio residence along with basic features such as TV, bed, fridge and power-backup.

  • Since there is not much space in a studio unit in the first place, you will not have to spend too much on future which means you will end up saving a lot of money.

  • Suitable for singles or couples

CONS

  • Limited Space

  • Not Suitable for Socializing

  • Difficult to decorate

  • Not suitable for more than 2 people

DISADVANTAGES

  • Studio unit are not good option for more than two people. Hence, couples planning to expand their family should not opt for a studio unit.

  • Since studio unit are short space, socializing can be difficult. Friends and family members cannot stay over due to the cramped space and even partying would not be feasible.

  • Some people are not used to living small spaces. For them studio unit can be depressing and claustrophobic.

  • A studio unit does not have much scope for decoration with fancy furniture and knick-knacks since they crowd up the small space.

For those who live alone and cannot afford a high tariff or just want to save on tariff and bills, a studio unit would be an effective choice. While studio unit compromise on space, the cost savings usually end up making it a conductive investment. Remember to compare the merits and demerits od studio unit as well as analyses you own requirements and plan before choosing a studio unit.
