The Konkan Housing and Area Development Board, a wing of Mhada, has begun the online process to sell 13,395 unsold flats through a newly launched digital platform – bookmyhome.mhada.gov.in. The platform was formally launched by Mhada Vice President and CEO, Sanjeev Jaiswal, IAS.

Real-Time Flat Selection Now Possible

According to Revati Gaikar, Chief Officer of the Konkan Board, the earlier IHLMS 2.0 system did not allow applicants under the First Come, First Serve (FCFS) model to choose specific flats. With the launch of the new 'Book My Home' portal, applicants can now select a particular unit—including floor and flat number—in real-time based on their eligibility and preference.

This new digital system presents detailed scheme-level and flat-level information to help users make informed housing decisions.

Fully Online, Automated Process

Flats from Mhada’s housing projects in Virar (Bolinj), Khoni, Shirdhon, Gotheghar, and Bhandarli are now listed on the platform. The entire application process is fully automated and conducted online with no manual interference.

Applicants are required to upload scanned copies of their Aadhaar card, PAN card, and a self-declaration during registration. The system automatically verifies the documents digitally and generates a profile for the applicant.

How the FCFS Booking Works

Once verification is complete, eligible applicants can view the list of available flats by location, floor, and unit number. Bookings are confirmed on a First Come, First Serve basis via the portal.

Eligibility Relaxations & Categories

Flats not covered under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) come with relaxed eligibility norms. No income limit has been set for these units, which are available to applicants from General, Scheduled Caste (SC), and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories.

Separate Initiative by Mumbai Board

In a separate development, the Mhada Mumbai Board has announced its plan to release over 5,000 housing units as part of the Diwali 2025 Lottery scheme.
