ITC Hotels has revealed plans to significantly expand its presence in Eastern India by growing its West Bengal portfolio to 12 properties. The announcement includes the introduction of its luxury brand, Mementos by ITC Hotels, in Siliguri—marking the brand’s entry into the region. This move is seen as part of the group’s broader vision to meet rising demand for premium and experiential hospitality in upcoming travel destinations.

A Landmark Project in Siliguri

The newly announced Mementos Siliguri will be nestled within the 700-acre Dagapur Tea Estate, occupying a 22-acre expanse. The resort will feature 180 upscale rooms and a suite of luxury amenities such as the brand’s iconic Kaya Kalp Spa, multiple dining options, banquet spaces designed for weddings and events, a bar, a poolside lounge, and a unique tea experience lounge. Located just 15 km from Bagdogra International Airport, the property will offer seamless connectivity to Darjeeling, Gangtok, and Guwahati—cementing its appeal as a premium gateway to the Eastern Himalayas.

Expanding ITC’s Regional Portfolio

The launch of Mementos Siliguri will expand ITC Hotels' footprint in West Bengal to 12 properties, which includes six operating hotels and six more under various stages of construction and development. The total room inventory across these properties will exceed 1,540 keys and span multiple brands like ITC Hotels, Welcomhotel, Fortune Hotels, and now Mementos. This expansion reinforces ITC's commitment to high-growth regional hubs.

Appealing to Luxury and Experiential Travelers

Mementos by ITC Hotels is positioned to deliver curated, destination-centric stays, and the Siliguri project is expected to attract a mix of leisure travelers, business guests, and wedding clientele. Its strategic location and design focus on wellness and immersive experiences aim to establish it as a preferred venue for luxury events, corporate retreats, and upscale holidays.

The decision to invest in Siliguri is being viewed as a forward-looking step that combines brand prestige with regional tourism potential, aligning with ITC Hotels’ long-term strategy of regional diversification and experience-led hospitality.
