Housing Prices Soar in Tier-II Cities

The real estate sector in Tier-II Indian cities experienced remarkable growth between January and September this year. Weighted average prices for housing projects jumped by as much as 65%, highlighting the increasing demand for properties in these cities.

City Spotlight: Jaipur Tops the List

Jaipur recorded the highest surge, with housing prices reaching ₹6,979 per sq ft, a testament to its growing appeal as a real estate destination. Other cities, such as Agra, Chandigarh, Indore, Dehradun, Ludhiana, and Bhiwadi, also witnessed sharp price hikes, cementing the trend of rising property values.

The Exceptions: Price Declines in Select Cities

While most Tier-II cities enjoyed an upward trajectory, some cities saw declines: Bhopal: Down by 5% Mohali: Down by 8% Sonepat: Down by 26%

Factors such as urbanization, infrastructure development, and increasing investor interest are fueling this growth. Tier-II cities are rapidly becoming attractive alternatives to their Tier-I counterparts.
