February 2024 saw record property registrations in Mumbai's real estate market. Under the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) authority, 12,040 units were registered by 8 p.m. on Thursday, with predictions of a little rise.

Mumbai real estate, the centre of the Indian property sector, saw a dazzling increase in registrations during Navratri. Under BMC's oversight, property registrations rose to 4,594 units from October 15th to 23rd, 2023.

Greater Mumbai (area under BMC jurisdiction) registered 9,729 property registrations in June 2023, generating Rs 804 crore in revenue for the state government.

The Department of Registration and Stamps of the Maharashtra government recorded 9,182 property registrations in Mumbai and its suburbs in December 2022, a 2% increase from November 2022. (IGR).

November 2022 saw a 15 percent year-over-year increase in property registrations in Mumbai and a 22 percent year-over-year increase in government income collection.

According to Mumbai property specialists, the number of property sale registrations in BMC-registered Mumbai in September 2022 exceeded 8,600 units. These property registrations generated around 7341 Cr rupees to the economy of Maharashtra.

Real estate in Mumbai always manages to spring surprises. A whopping number of more than 11,000 properties were registered Mumbai in the month of July 2022, bringing in more than INR 800 crore in income for the state of Maharashtra.

More than 7,500 property deals were registered in Mumbai in September 2021 (as of September 29) which is an almost 11 percent increase month-on-month (MoM) compared to August 2021, according to data from the Inspector General of Registration (IGR), Maharashtra, available until September 29.
