The Rural Development Ministry has drafted the Registration Bill 2025 to replace the 117-year-old Registration Act. The bill aims to streamline and digitise land and property registration. Public feedback is open until June 25.

Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, and Lakshadweep would all benefit from the accountability and transparency made possible by these tenancy legislation.
