The Guntur Municipal Corporation has launched a strict enforcement drive to disconnect water and drainage services for property owners who have defaulted on civic dues including property tax, vacant land tax, and water charges.

Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan has announced a full property tax waiver for homes of active defence personnel in village areas. The move, recommended by the Sainik Welfare Department, aims to honour ongoing service to the nation.
