The Rustomjee Group Will Launch a Real Estate Fund With a Maximum Value of INR 570 Crore

The Rustomjee Group is establishing Mt K Kapital, a development fund concentrating on residential and mixed-use real estate projects in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. 

On April 14, 2022 Boman Irani, chairman and managing director of Rustomjee Group, said that the fund's size would be between USD 50 andUSD75 million (Rs 380-570 crore).

The fund will eventually invest in finished mixed-use commercial properties in a variety of locales. 

The application for the fund's licence has already been submitted.

"With a particular emphasis on the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, Rustomjee has developed some of the finest real estate projects in the city. We are delighted to establish the Mt K Kapital platform, which enables us to use our development experience and expand our footprint in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, all while maximising value for fund investors," he added.

"Our goal for the first fund is to bring in assets with a top line of $0.5 billion," said Binitha Dalal, founder of Mt K Kapital.

Rustomjee Group's construction footprint spans the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and includes 20 million square feet of finished projects, 9.2 million square feet of current construction, and 16.4 million square feet of planned development.

The Rustomjee Group's portfolio includes two township developments in Thane and Virar, as well as large residential developments, office complexes, retail, healthcare, and educational institutions located throughout Mumbai, including Prabhadevi, Bandra, Khar, Andheri, Kandivali, Borivali, and Bhandup.
