Ambitious Projects and Plans from Union Ministry

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Pune to inaugurate plans and projects to be undertaken under the Smart Cities Mission Later.

The Union Ministry of Urban Development had directed the Municipal Corporation of Pune and the state of government to make arrangements for the inauguration of these plan and projects, Kunal Kumar municipal commissioner told a news meeting here on June 15, on the side lines of Modish Cities Mission. We are planning to invite the PM to attend the jamboree.

The ministry has directed the state administration to appoint a nodal officer to make arrangements for the event.

The final justification about the PM’s occupancy is expected to reach us in the next few days. The civic regiment is yet to get the exact details of this jamboree. The final program will be announced soon said Kumar.

The ministry has also supervise the corporation and the state government to launch a make your city dapper contest, anelegant net portal s quick win projects program and release a coffee table book.

 Pune Modish City Development Corporation Ltd, the special purpose vehicle, (SPV) that will execute plans and projects under the mission, was registered in March. The company has seven collar Bator.

In association with the PMC, the SPV plans to start 15 assignments under the Modish CitiesMission in the next three months.

The civic body has received around Rs 283cr/- from the state and Union ministry for the ambitious projects and plans.
