Amazon - 15 Years Lease at DLF Downtown & Jayabheri Properties in Gurugram & Hyderabad

Amazon and its affiliates have leased approximately 8 lakh square feet of space in Gurugram and Hyderabad from DLF Down town and Jayabheri Properties for a total of 15 years for web services, development centre, seller services, and transportation services.

The transactions were recorded earlier in 2023. According to a lease registration form published by Propstack, Amazon will pay between INR 45 and INR 52 per square foot for the Orange Towers property in Hyderabad, whilst the Downtown site in Gurugram would command a price of INR 110.5 per square foot for the duration of the lease.

The acquisition represents the year's largest office leasing transaction, with corporations adopting a cautious approach to growth and embracing more flexible office spaces.

Since 2022, Amazon has been acquiring enormous leases for commercial property, and the newest acquisition is one of the largest Amazon has ever signed.

In 2022 Amazon signed a contract with K Raheja Corp. for 4.5 lakh square feet in Thane for its data services division.
