Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has once again made headlines—not for a new film, but for a savvy property deal. The actor recently sold an office space in Mumbai’s premium Lower Parel locality for ₹8 crore, marking a 65% return on his 2020 investment, according to documents accessed by Square Yards.

Star Power Meets Real Estate ROI

Kumar had purchased the property five years ago for ₹4.85 crore. The latest sale indicates a significant appreciation in value and reaffirms the strong momentum in Mumbai’s commercial real estate sector.

Deal Details & Location Premium

The property, located in One Lodha Place, spans 1,146 sq ft of carpet area. Buyers Vipul Shah and Kashmira Shah also received two car parking spaces as part of the transaction. The deal, registered on April 16, 2025, involved ₹48 lakh in stamp duty and ₹30,000 in registration charges.

Lower Parel continues to be one of Mumbai’s most sought-after real estate zones, offering luxury residences and top-tier office spaces. Its central location near BKC and Nariman Point adds to its appeal for both businesses and celebrities.

Lower Parel: The Celebrity Magnet

The neighbourhood is a known hotspot for celebrities. According to Square Yards, well-known figures like Abhishek Bachchan, Shahid Kapoor, Amish Tripathi, and Manoj Bajpayee also own property in this locality.

One Lodha Place: Numbers Speak

The commercial project by Lodha Group (Macrotech Developers) spans 1.08 acres and features a wide range of office configurations—from compact spaces to expansive layouts.

Between May 2024 and April 2025, One Lodha Place saw eight transactions with a cumulative value of ₹618 crore. The average property price in the project is ₹48,000 per sq ft, based on data from Square Yards.

Akshay Kumar’s ₹100 Cr Real Estate Exit

This latest deal adds to a string of recent high-value sales by the actor. In February 2025, Akshay Kumar and wife Twinkle Khanna sold their luxury residence in the Oberoi 360 West project for ₹80 crore. Additionally, the actor sold three apartments in Oberoi Sky City, Borivali, for a combined value of over ₹15 crore.
