Connecting Cities and Cultures: The Completion of Sabarmati Bridge Elevates Ahmedabad's Metro Network

Afcons Infrastructure, the chosen construction contractor for the Ahmedabad Metro Phase 2, has achieved a noteworthy milestone with the completion of the Sabarmati River Bridge near Gandhinagar. This bridge, integral to Phase 2's Package C1, extends over 962 meters, forging a vital link between the Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) and GIFT City.

Spanning an impressive 28.254 kilometers, the Sabarmati Bridge features 23 spans and comprises 345 segments.

Remarkable progress has been witnessed since the launch of the first segment in May 2023, culminating in the unveiling of the final segment recently.

This new bridge is more than just a feat of engineering; it's a crucial element enhancing the connectivity and infrastructure in the region, significantly bolstering the development of Ahmedabad Metro Phase 2.

Awarded the construction contract for Package C1 by the Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation in the last quarter of 2020, Afcons Infrastructure has diligently worked on this 14.36 km stretch, which includes eight stations, showcasing their expertise in infrastructure development.
