What may Mumbai's luxury real estate produce next?
How about a helipad to begin with?

Having a helipad on your property is not only a convenience, but a necessity in the event of an accident or other emergency.

Recently, helipads have gone to the top of the list of most sought-after additions to expensive homes, as wealthy buyers are willing to pay a premium for properties that provide easy access to a helicopter.

For the purpose of ensuring the secure and well-organized growth of buildings in India, a national document known as the National Building Code of India 2016 (NBC) was drafted.

The National Building Code of India, 2016 (NBC 2016) suggests that, for buildings above 200 metres in height, a helipad be installed for use in case of an emergency.

In the case of a fire, medical emergency needing quick care, etc., the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) of India states that helipads on the roofs of high-rise buildings are an extra essential for evacuation.

As a result, designers of high-rise structures must include helipads into their plans.

The Benefits of a Rooftop Helicopter

Having a helipad on top of your high-rise building may be reassuring. You may trust that if there is ever a medical emergency on your building's premises, the emergency unit will swiftly dispatch an air ambulance to your location. In cases of urgent transplantation, a road green corridor may be used instead.

In the event of a catastrophic fire, helipads might speed up rescue efforts and reduce damage.Even though all high-end condo towers have sprinkler systems, fire hazards still exist.High-rise apartment complexes might be difficult to reach with a fire hose or snorkel due to their limited reach.Assisting fire departments with airlifting trapped people during rescue operations is only one reason why installing a helipad might be very useful and even crucial for fire safety. When floods prevent people from entering buildings, helipads may be a lifesaver by allowing supplies to be dropped from above.

With High-Rise Housing A Must In Mumbai, Helipads On Buildings Will Be Important Too

Mumbai's long, sloping beachfront on the western side of the island limits the city's potential for fast development.Because of this, tall buildings in Mumbai are built vertically. The development of these skyscrapers has increased the importance of Mumbai's already stringent building safety rules, since residential high-rises with more than 20 floors are becoming more frequent in the city.

In India, there are nine different classifications for buildings, each with its own set of fire safety requirements.

Any building that will rise more than 15 metres above ground level or have more than three storeys must get a certificate of approval from the director of the fire department before construction can begin. All fire safety features and means of entry/escape must be clearly marked on the supporting drawings submitted with the construction design to the authorities. Once the plan has been reviewed and authorised for building by the governing body, the fire department will issue a No Objection Certificate (NOC).

True Luxury Homes in Mumbai Are Evolving

Club houses, swimming pools, fitness facilities, etc. have all become common features in luxury homes today. As the luxury housing market evolves especially at a high pace city like Mumbai, there are newer and fancier luxury offerings that are being created by luxury property developers.

Helipads could be one such luxury for sure

If you want to own a private helicopter but don't have the space for a helipad, an ultra-luxurious high-rise condominium may be the solution.Your apartment complex has a helipad, and the pilot has arrived to take you up. There is no faster mode of transportation than door-to-door, so you can say goodbye to sitting in traffic. The addition of a helipad to a luxury home is said to improve the property's value, making it a smart financial move.

A helipad is an increasingly popular amenity for high-end residences because of the time and stress it saves its owners and guests.
