Demand For Luxury Homes in Chennai is Booming

Chennai real estate is displaying two totally different facets currently. On one hand many residents are moving away from the city in search of affordable homes that are less than INR 1 crore in ticket size and on the other hand the demand for Chennai luxury properties in prime metropolitan locations is on the rise in a major way indeed.

Apartment complexes with facilities, geographical benefits, ease of upkeep, and visually attractive designs are becoming more popular among first-time homeowners, especially those from wealthy regions, say property advisors and developers.

As per luxury property professionals, in recent years, Chennai has seen an amazing increase in demand of luxury real estate.

Buyers of luxury properties are mostly interested in urban core areas like Nungambakkam, Chetpet, Kilpauk, Alwarpet, RA Puram, Adyar, and Besant Nagar. Real estate developers in Chennai catering to luxury home buyers are finicky about factors like location, unit size, interior architecture, facilities, and standards.

There has a phenomenal increase in the sales of residential units of Rs 3 crore or more in Chennai in the recent past.Several well-off families who had previously lived in bungalows in desirable neighbourhoods sold or redeveloped them after the epidemic.

As per a leading real estate agent in Chennai - premium communities were once situated in areas like Adyar, Besant Nagar, T Nagar, and Poes Garden. Kodambakkam, KK Nagar, West Mambalam, and Ashok Nagar are now a part of this elite property circle.

As per recent studies, younger people are moving away from traditional neighbourhoods and into high-rise, gated communities wanting 2,500 to 5,000 square foot residences with four to five bedrooms.
