Indian Homebuyers Love the 3 BHK

Indian residential markets favour 3 BHKs. The recent 3 bedroom home sales and registrations across India in various pockets strongly suggest the same.

Factors that make the 3 BHK popular today:

Indian metros have always had tiny dwellings. During the epidemic, homeowners noticed they had little personal space. Over the last two years, demand for larger houses has increased.

A renowned Indian real estate business found that three-BHKs outsell two-BHKs.

45% of homebuyers desire a three-BHK, while 37% want a two-BHK. Bengaluru leads with 52% choosing three-BHKs and 35% two-BHKs.

According to metro city real estate expert Rajul Parni, many city purchasers work in the high paying IT industry. As such workers' incomes grow, urban inhabitants' buying power rises. Low lending rates in Indian markets until the past quarter contributed to this rise. Homebuyers benefit from the latest repo rate rises since house loan interest rates remain lower than pre-pandemic levels.

Chennai has the second-highest demand for three-BHKs among metro cities in India, at 49%.

Chenna homebuyers are purchasing three BHKs more than ever, according to Pashupathinath, an architect in the busy city. Chennai developers are preparing 3 BHK project releases.

Three-BHK demand is greatest in Bengaluru and Chennai at 52%. Mumbai home buyers prefer the 2 BHK and 3 BHK both - since ticket size is a huge issue in Mumbai real estate where space is always a premium.

Rising earnings, interest in different hobbies (requiring more room), privacy, and a desire to expand have all contributed to the high demand for 3 BHK houses in Indian cities. We hope Indian real estate developers are paying attention and preparing their future initiatives.
