Welspun One Logistics Parks (WOLP) has expanded its reach in the north with the signing of an agreement with the Haryana government. The integrated investment, development, and asset management platform – which is a subsidiary of the $2.7 billion Welspun Group – intends to investigate accessible government land parcels for the purpose of developing Grade A warehouse facilities in significant warehousing micromarkets. The WOLP would spend a total of Rs 1500 crore in the state. The contract has the potential to develop nearly 5 million square feet over a three- to four-year period, resulting in the creation of over 4500 jobs.

With the same goal of enhancing the logistics infrastructure, this agreement establishes a long-term cooperation between Welspun One Logistics Parks and the Haryana government. With the joint investment yielding significant social and economic advantages, the state government has committed to provide unwavering support to WOLP in order to improve overall ease of doing business. Additionally, they will facilitate the efficient operation of approval procedures and single-window approvals for WOLP-led projects. Additionally, the state government has appointed a dedicated relationship manager to guarantee that all processes run smoothly and on schedule.

WOLP, on the other hand, is devoted to offering high-performance, sustainable, and world-class warehousing solutions via the effective integration of cutting-edge technology and green infrastructure.

"We are grateful to the Haryana government for its unwavering assistance and direction in obtaining essential licences, registrations, and expediting the process," stated Anshul Singhal, MD, Welspun One Logistics Parks. We are thrilled to begin growing our footprint in the North after cooperating with the Tamil Nadu government to invest Rs 2500 crore in the state, which is proceeding well. With Haryana undergoing an e-commerce boom, there is enormous opportunity for warehouse expansion. With this in mind, we devised a strategy to create a sustainable ecosystem of state-of-the-art Grade A storage services.

This will increase efficiency and unlock value in enterprises' supply chains, all while boosting the state's warehousing industry."

Vijayendra Kumar, IAS Principal Secretary Industries and Commerce, Haryana government, said, "Haryana is growing as a significant storage centre in the National Capital Region and a vital consumer market as a result of its strategic position intersecting with economic corridors." Additionally, the state's logistics policy fosters an atmosphere favourable to the logistics and warehousing sectors. We are glad to welcome Welspun One Logistics Parks' investment in Haryana and to guarantee them of all essential assistance for a timely start."
