Two of Bollywood’s biggest icons, Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, have reportedly made strategic investments in Sri Lotus Developers and Realty, a company led by renowned film producer and real estate developer Anand Pandit. The move comes just ahead of the firm’s highly anticipated Initial Public Offering (IPO).

Celebrity-Backed Real Estate Momentum

According to a report by Economic Times, Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan have invested Rs 10.1 crore and Rs 10 crore respectively in the real estate venture. Khan’s investment was made through the Shah Rukh Khan Family Trust, which acquired 6.75 lakh shares. Other prominent investors include Hrithik Roshan, Ajay Devgn, Ektaa Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Tiger Shroff, and Rajkummar Rao.

IPO Plans and Previous Funding

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has reportedly granted approval for a Rs 792 crore IPO by Sri Lotus Developers and Realty. This follows a previous fundraising round in December when the company raised Rs 400 crore through a share issue at Rs 150 per share.

Anand Pandit's Trishul Inspiration

Anand Pandit, reflecting on his journey, shared that he drew early inspiration from Amitabh Bachchan’s film *Trishul*. Speaking to SCREEN, Pandit mentioned how Bachchan’s character, Vijay, inspired him to pursue a dream in construction and relocate from Ahmedabad to Mumbai. “It is all because of Bachchan sahab,” he said, emphasizing the impact of cinema on his aspirations.

A Fan Turned Neighbour

Pandit recalled a personal milestone when he purchased the bungalow adjacent to Bachchan’s iconic residence, Jalsa, for Rs 50 crore in 2013. Eventually, he sold the same property back to the actor, which led to a growing personal bond. “A twist of fate made me his neighbour,” he said.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Candid Remark

At Anand Pandit’s recent birthday celebration, Shah Rukh Khan humorously remarked on the extent of Pandit’s property holdings. He shared that during their late-night drives in Juhu, Pandit modestly reveals that most of the buildings in the area belong to him, except for a few. “Our journey becomes easy,” Khan joked.

Mumbai Homes and Real Estate Legacy

Both Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan reside in luxury bungalows in Mumbai, which have turned into local landmarks. Over the years, they have also built sizable real estate portfolios across India, underlining their long-term interest in property investments.
