Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana application form 2021 can be filled online or offline to avail of the benefits of the PM housing scheme. You can apply online for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana at PMAY's official website https://pmaymis.gov.in/. PMAY scheme was announced by the central government in 2015 which aims to deliver ‘Housing for All’ by 2022 to Low-income Group (LIG), Economically Weaker Section (EWS) & Middle Income Group (MIG 1 & 2).

Note: The last date to apply for PMAY scheme is 31 March 2022. The last date to apply for Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS) is 31 March 2021.

You can apply under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana scheme both online and offline medium. You can apply for a home under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) choosing one of the 2 major categories that are stated below:

Slum Dwellers: As per the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA), an area which comprises 60-70 households or a minimum of 300 people living in poorly built residential structures known as Slums and people living there are called Slum Dwellers. Other 3 Components: Under the Housing for All scheme by 2022, the Low-income Group(LIG), Economically Weaker Section(EWS), or Middle Income Group (MIG) are major beneficiaries of this scheme. If your annual income is up to Rs 3 lakh, you belong to the EWS category, If your annual income stands between is Rs 3 lakh to 6 Lakh, you can apply under LIG category and at last, if your annual income falls between Rs 6 lakh to Rs 18 lakh then, you can apply under MIG (1 & 2) category.

Login to the official website of PMAY. https://pmaymis.gov.in/

Pick ‘Slum Dwellers’ or ‘Benefits Under 3 Components’ under Citizen Assessment (as per your suitable category).

Enter the Aadhar No. and click on Check to verify your Aadhar details

Once verified, fill the details given in the form. Make sure the details provided are absolutely correct otherwise, your application will get cancelled.

After filling all the details, scroll down, enter the captcha and click on the submit button. Your application process is complete now.

Note: If you feel that you have provided any incorrect information, you can make the corrections in the form using your Application & Aadhar no.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Application Form 2021 (Offline)

In case, you are not able to file the application online, you can do it manually by simply visiting a state government-run Common Service Centre (CSC) or a bank listed under PMAY. Ask for an Application Form there which is available by paying a nominal fee of Rs 25 + GST. Fill the form and submit it.

In support of your application, you are required to submit a list of documents which are listed below:

  • A copy of your identity proof (Aadhar Card/PAN Card/ Driving License / Voter's ID Card) Your proof of address
  • Your proof of income: Form 16/latest IT return or bank account statement for the last six months.
  • A copy of the affidavit that states that you or your immediate family do not own any house in India
  • A certificate of Valuation for the property that will be purchased
  • A Construction agreement with the developer or builder Approved plan of construction
  • Certificate of an architect or engineer verifying the cost of construction/repairs Fitness Certificate of the house
  • NOC from Competent Authority or the relevant housing society
  • Copy of receipt of advance payment made for the purchase, if applicable Allotment Letter of property/agreement, or other relevant property documents

At last, to enhance the transparency in the process, the subsidy provided to beneficiaries on home loans will be directly transferred to their bank accounts under Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS). For EWS and LIG category, you can avail of a max subsidy up to Rs 2.67 lakh and for MIG (1 & 2) it is Rs 2.35 and Rs 2.31 lakh respectively.

Eligibility Criteria to Apply for PMAY 2021

To apply for a home under PMAY- Housing for All scheme:

You are not an owner of a house in any part of the country.

If you are applying as a married couple or joint owners, the subsidy will be given as one. You should not have a history of receiving any kind of housing benefit in any other scheme.

Also, you must belong to either the Low-income Group (LIG), Economically Weaker Section (EWS) or Middle Income Group (MIG 1 & 2).

Q: What is eligibility for PMAY?

A: Any household with an annual income ranging from INR 3 lakh to 18 lakhs may apply. In no part of the country should the applicant or other family member have a pucca house. The recipient cannot benefit from the PMAY scheme for a previously constructed building.

Q: Who is not eligible for PMAY?

A: Anyone earning more than INR 18 lakhs per year, who owns a pucca house in the country, or who has previously benefited from a national or state government-run housing plan, is not eligible for a PMAY Home Loan.

Q: Can I apply for PMAY for an existing home loan?

A: You do not qualify for the PMAY plan if you want to use it to pay off an existing home debt. The PMAY initiative is aimed at those who are trying to purchase their first house. The key criterion for obtaining a PMAY grant is that the applicant must not have a pucca house on his behalf throughout India. For this reason, PMAY is not available on the existing home loan.

Go to pmaymis.gov.in and select the ''Citizen Assessment, then click on 'Track Your Assessment'.
On the new homepage, you have two options: search by name, father's name, and type of ID, or search by evaluation id.
Select one of the two choices.
Enter mobile phone numbers, including the state, city, and district, as well as the father's name, ID type, and ID number for option 1.
In case of option 2, you will have to enter your assessment ID and contact number to check the status.
