OfficeBanao, which provides a platform for designing and furnishing office spaces, has secured $6 million in initial investment led by Lightspeed.

The business will utilise the freshly acquired capital to hire more employees. It plans to hire more skilled workers in order to improve its operations. There are now 110 people on the team, but that number is expected to rise to 250–300 by the end of the year. The company's long-term goal is to expand into the world's 25 largest economies.

With the goal of creating a marketplace for designers, architects, and contractors, Tushar Mittal, Akshaya Kumar, and Divyanshu Kumar created the firm. It is active in 15 different locations, with the primary goal of providing office space to sole proprietors and startup founders. Techcrunch estimates the firm makes around $5 million every quarter.

"For a small or medium-sized firm, we've discovered that the process of planning and building an office is everything but ideal. The market is disorganised, but we think a tech-driven strategy may help office space owners."

"The OfficeBanao team is equipped to shake up the industry's present murky experience thanks to their considerable knowledge and wide-ranging supplier network. The early results and viable business concept are promising, and we look forward to their continuing growth."

After years of experience designing and building workstations for global customers at real estate developer DLF and interior design company SKV, Mittal co-founded OfficeBanao in January 2022 with Akshya Kumar (CTO) and Divyanshu Sharma (CBO and CPO). The creators believe their extensive understanding of the industry gives their company a leg up on the competition.

"The need is really high and there is just one problem, and that is the lack of vertical integration. They are consequently travelling from place to place and not obtaining a one-stop solution,"

OfficeBanao is also using cutting-edge technologies to improve the office design process. The platform improves both customer and service provider efficiency by speeding up the fulfilment of design requirements and streamlining processes.

AutoCAD, 3ds Max, and even Excel spreadsheets were formerly the mainstays of business management for workstation interior suppliers. OfficeBanao claims it is making strides in this direction with a cutting-edge software package that will raise the bar for the whole sector.

The suite, according to OfficeBanao co-founder and CEO Tushar Mittal in an interview, features a proprietary 3D solution that can preview tens of thousands of options for boardrooms or meeting spaces in a matter of seconds, an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that replaces traditional spreadsheets, and an innovative technology layer that integrates seamlessly with AutoCAD to provide clients with straightforward access.
