Rahul Arora has been appointed head of retail services in India by JLL. Rahul, who is based in Bengaluru, will assume this role in addition to his current responsibilities as head of office leasing advisory and MD for Karnataka and Kerala. The worldwide real estate business promotes retail for long-term success and profitability; it anticipates exponential growth in the Indian retail real estate industry.

"Retail demand will strengthen in the coming quarters as retailers continue to execute," Radha Dhir, CEO & country head, Jones Lang LaSalle, said. As the economic recovery continues, we anticipate an increase in retail activity this year, and Rahul's knowledge and skills will be invaluable to our clients. He will play a critical role in broadening our business's reach and strengthening our ties with major Indian and international retailers, as well as real estate developers."

"We are in a really exciting area right now, with an emphasis on exponentially developing our retail company. As the pandemic's obstacles gradually fade away, we are seeing an astonishing increase in demand throughout high streets and retail centres. Another significant trend that has irreparably altered retail is the increase in consumer awareness of environmental issues.

Today, the majority of companies' strategy include ESG-compliant initiatives. ESG initiatives are also becoming more relevant for retail real estate owners," Arora said.

Shubhranshu Pani, JLL's head of retail in India, has opted to leave the company. Shubhranshu has also led the firm's strategy consulting practise for the previous two decades.
