Residents of Maharashtra have repeatedly asked that their issues be resolved quickly by MahaRERA. As a result, in recent years, people have asked for the appointment of extra adjudicating members to deal with pending cases.

The chairman and another member of the Maharashtra Societies Welfare Association (MahaSEWA), as stated by Ramesh Prabhu. However, with roughly 6,500 complaints still open, it will take nearly three years to dispose of open cases. Homebuyers who have been wronged must get redress from RERA within 60 days. However, the current order processing time is 18-24 months. It takes an extra year and a half from the time the order is issued to the time it is fully implemented. Such a lag undermines the goals of RERA.
