The Goa government has reportedly announced plans to expand its digital approval mechanism for small residential housing projects starting January 2026. According to official sources, all housing projects involving up to four apartments will be required to apply for approvals exclusively through the state's online Building Plan Approval Management System (BPAMS).
Physical File Submissions to Be Discontinued
Under the expanded policy framework, developers, architects, and engineers will no longer be permitted to submit physical files for such projects, according to reports. All applications for technical clearances and completion certificates must reportedly be processed through the digital platform.
