The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has announced the upcoming Excon 2023 in Bengaluru, a monumental event that solidifies South Asia's standing in the construction equipment domain.

Set to be held from 12 – 16 December 2023 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, Excon 2023 is not just an exhibition. It's a vision for India's future. Positioned to elevate India as the world's 2nd largest and swiftest growing construction equipment market by 2030, this event reflects India's progressive approach towards infrastructure development.

Indian is in the throes of a remarkable transformation, underpinned by policy reforms and robust government investments in infrastructure projects.

Spanning a sprawling 30 lakh sq-ft, the expo is anticipated to host over 1200 global exhibitors, with representations from countries like the USA, UK, France, Germany, and more. Over the five-day event, an estimated 80,000 international business visitors are expected. Significantly, the Government of Karnataka has been chosen as the Host State for this prestigious event.

Sakthi Kumar VG, a key figure in the Excon 2023 steering committee and MD of Schwing Stetter (India), shared the theme: ‘Building India’s Tomorrow.’

This encapsulates the event's dedication to technology, globalization, sustainability, and inclusivity.

India's economic momentum is closely linked with its infrastructure sector, which has garnered significant government attention. Demonstrating this commitment, a colossal Rs 10 lakh crores has been earmarked to bolster this sector.

Excon 2023 will shine a spotlight on various cutting-edge areas including alternate fuels, AI innovations, the Aatma Nirbhar Bharat initiative, and sustainability in construction. Notably, the event will also highlight women operating construction machinery and feature conferences on defence, paramilitary, and green construction.

Esteemed participants in the event encompass industry giants such as JCB, Caterpillar, Jindal Steel & Power, Tata Hitachi, and many more. Additionally, the Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (ICEMA) is partnering for Excon 2023, with support from the Infrastructure Equipment Skill Council (IESC) and the Builders Association of India (BAI).
