Colliers India and Middle East Operations Witness Leadership Transition as Sankey Prasad Relinquishes CMD Role

Colliers has announced that Sankey Prasad has stepped down from his position as Chairman and Managing Director of both Colliers India and Colliers Project Leaders, the company confirmed on October 28, 2025, from Mumbai.

The company stated that Prasad has also stepped down from his leadership role in the Middle East operations while maintaining his stake in the business. Looking ahead, he is expected to concentrate on selected entrepreneurial initiatives and offer strategic technical guidance to real estate and infrastructure clients across India and the MENA region at the board level.

Currently based in the Middle East, Prasad plans to redirect his focus toward advisory roles, particularly those involving capital projects and investor-backed real estate development projects, according to the company's official statement.

A civil engineer by profession, Prasad has accumulated more than four decades of experience in the construction and real estate industry. He commenced his career in 1983 and held significant leadership positions across prominent development and construction companies before establishing Synergy Property Development Services in 2003.

Synergy garnered substantial investor attention when Blackstone Inc. made its inaugural real estate investment in India in 2008, securing a 35% stake in the firm for $18 million, marking a significant milestone in India's real estate investment landscape.

After Colliers International acquired Synergy in 2019, Prasad was appointed as CMD of Colliers India and spearheaded the firm's expansion strategy in both domestic and international markets.
