Cognizant Technology Solutions, a multinational IT services and consulting firm headquartered in the United States, has recently vacated 1.15 million square feet of office space in Chennai.

The decision was made in response to the increasing adoption of hybrid work models by technology companies and as part of cost-cutting initiatives prevalent in the technology industry.In Chennai, Cognizant has vacated 500,000 square feet in the DLF Cybercity SEZ and 650,000 square feet in the Ramanujan IT SEZ.

Cognizant possesses a massive campus in Chennai, where it is anticipated to consolidate. It has vacated the premises due to the recent real estate rationalisation undertaken by numerous companies, including Cognizant, in accordance with Chennai's real estate markets.
