A comprehensive satellite study covering 2015-2023 has revealed that India's five largest cities - Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, and Bengaluru - are experiencing significant land subsidence, with some areas sinking over 5 cm annually, threatening thousands of buildings and urban infrastructure.
