Fifty-two apartment owners in Rasulgarh, Bhubaneswar have accused their builder of illegally occupying common spaces and violating safety norms, prompting a joint government investigation.

The Odisha government has announced a comprehensive transformation of its Real Estate Regulatory Authority (ORERA) through strategic reforms aimed at strengthening homebuyer protection and improving regulatory oversight.

After ORERA was left non-functional due to a series of retirements, the Odisha government appointed Usha Padhee as interim chairperson to ensure continued regulation and homebuyer protection in the state’s real estate sector.
