MMRDA has approved the ₹58,754 crore Uttan-Virar Sea Link, a 55-kilometre coastal corridor project connecting Mumbai's western suburbs to Palghar-Virar with a 60-month completion deadline.

Mumbai's Worli Seaface has transformed into India's most elite residential corridor, with billionaires acquiring ultra-luxury apartments in iconic towers like Naman Xana, driven by scarce inventory and infrastructure upgrades.

Five ring roads are being built as part of a megacity inter-linking project to improve traffic flow and connectivity. The proposed Orange Gate tunnel will link the Freeway and Coastal Road at Marine Drive on the southernmost ring road. Mumbai will connect to Thane, Palghar, and Alibaug.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar says the Sewri-Worli link would open in December 2025. Furthermore, 37km of new Metro lines will be inaugurated this fiscal year.
