In a bid to enhance transparency, MahaRERA is verifying Occupation Certificates submitted for 3,699 lapsed projects across Maharashtra, following past fraud cases.

In a major milestone for Maharashtra's real estate sector, 87% of fifth MahaRERA real estate agents' test applicants passed. Out of 4,769 applicants, 4,165 are certified, expanding the state's real estate agent pool.

Promoters must now use only qualified and certified real estate agents under MahaRERA. This guideline protects homebuyers and the real estate industry. Non-compliance might lead to project registration rejections, registration revocations, or promoter fines.
