The Bhopal Metro project moves closer to passenger operations as final safety inspections are completed along the priority corridor connecting Subhash Nagar Depot to AIIMS Bhopal in October 2025.

The Union Cabinet has approved four strategic railway multitracking projects worth ₹24,634 crore across Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Chhattisgarh, adding 894 route kilometers and 78 million tonnes of annual freight capacity to India's rail network over the next 3-5 years.
