India's institutional real estate investment fell 42% YoY to $1.8B in Q2 2025, but surged 122% quarterly. Commercial assets dominated with 69% share as recovery momentum builds for H2 2025.

Equity investments in Indian real estate are set to cross $10 billion (₹1,000 crore) for the first time. Inflows reached $8.9 billion from January to September 2024, up 46% year-on-year, driven by strong domestic investor participation and a jump in deal volumes to 200 from 151 in 2023.

Indian Real estate looks set to revive in 2022. In the last year of 2021, institutional investors in real estate have pumped in close to a total amount of USD 4 billion. It's down 17% year over year, but capital inflows in Indian real estate overall are up across major asset classes and regions.
