India's retail sector recorded 2.24 million sq ft of leasing activity in Q2 2025 across major cities, with Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Delhi-NCR leading the charge despite seasonal challenges.

Bharti Real Estate is investing ₹20,000 crore to develop over 17 million sq ft in Delhi’s Aerocity. The mega project will include office spaces, India’s largest retail mall, and high-street zones under Worldmark 2.0, 3.0, and 4.0.

India will see rapid high-street retail growth. Leading developers including DLF, Godrej, Prestige group, Brigade enterprises, M3M, Omaxe, and the Dhillon Group will build three million square feet of retail complexes with open spaces over the next two to three years.
