The Government of India announced a comprehensive digital land record system covering all rural and urban areas nationwide, aiming to eliminate ownership disputes and improve property transaction transparency through real-time data access.

India aims to achieve 100% land records digitisation by December 2025, with 99.8% already completed, as part of major economic reforms to boost growth and transparency.
