The Pune Municipal Corporation has introduced comprehensive safety regulations for building demolitions as redevelopment activity surges across the city, mandating structural certifications, neighbor notifications, pollution control measures.

Maharashtra has proposed key amendments to DCPR 2034 regulations, extending fungible FSI benefits and revising calculation methods to make MHADA redevelopment projects across Greater Mumbai more financially viable for developers and beneficial for tenants.

MHADA is set to redevelop 13,000 aging cessed buildings in South Mumbai, starting with a structural audit of 1,000 properties by March. This initiative aligns with Maharashtra’s 100-day action plan, aiming to ensure safety and improve living conditions.
