The NCRTC has begun preparatory work on the ₹36,000 crore Delhi-Panipat RRTS corridor with utility shifting along the Narela-Murthal stretch, bringing the 136-km high-speed rail project closer to reality despite awaiting final financial approvals.

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation has requested an additional 8,812 square metres of land from Haryana authorities for the Dharuhera RRTS station following design modifications that increased total requirements to 20,985 square metres in October 2025.
