In a groundbreaking move, Avaada Group has committed a colossal investment of Rs 40,000 crore towards the development of 6,000 MW hybrid wind-solar projects in Gujarat. The historic agreement was formalized in the esteemed presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel during the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 in Gandhinagar.

These hybrid projects, strategically situated in the underdeveloped expanses of Kutch, are set to power multiple utilities, including Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL). Additionally, Avaada's green hydrogen/ammonia projects will benefit from this clean energy supply, fostering sustainability.

This ambitious initiative is projected to significantly slash carbon emissions, generating an estimated annual output of 17.5 billion units of green electricity. The consequential reduction of approximately 16.3 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions annually will make a substantial contribution to India's green energy portfolio, catering to nearly 12.6 million households.

Beyond environmental benefits, the project is expected to create 1,200 direct and indirect employment opportunities. This not only signifies Avaada's commitment to local and regional economic development but also contributes to the establishment of a robust renewable energy ecosystem.

In addition to this momentous announcement, Avaada Group, known for its involvement in solar module production and large-scale green hydrogen and green methanol projects, already has operational or in-progress ventures with a capacity of two GW in Gujarat.
