Prayagraj Light Metro Details

The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Company Ltd. plans to construct a light rail transit (LRT) system with 2 lines and 39 stops in Prayagraj (Allahabad), Uttar Pradesh (UPMRCL).

The Government of Uttar Pradesh designated the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Company (UPMRCL) as the "coordinator" in 2017 to bring all stakeholders together and launch Phase 1 of the project. The Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA) was presented with RITES's feasibility study and Detailed Project Report in November of 2019.
